Skip Lombardo





Elected : USSSA New York Hall Of Fame in 2016
Inducted : March 2017, Syracuse, NY

In 1975, Skip started umpiring with the CNY Umpires Association. Since then, he has officiated countless league games throughout Syracuse area, as well as local and state USSSA tournaments.

Skip served as Vice President under Hall of Famer, Dick Stauss.  Additionally, he was an Executive Board Member for many of his 38 years in the organization. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and expertise as an instructor of the annual umpire class, having the privilege of teaching many current Hall of Fame members.

For a brief time, Skip volunteered for the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse. His experience with the organization is a source of pride, for the lives he was able to improve with literacy.

Skip is currently a sales consultant at Burdick Toyota. In 2012, the Syracuse Auto Dealers Association awarded him the Sales Person of the Year Award.

Skip lives in North Syracuse with his beautiful wife, Carol. They both enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, including frequent trips to Montana.
